Mary is running hard up for cash, so she turns to Internet porn in order to pay the bills. Things take a terrifying turn for the worst when she is stalked by one of her johns that has lured her into a false sense of security online... CAM GIRL is cheap and exploitative pornography masking itself as an erotic suspense thriller. In the 75m runtime, Mary spends a total of 5m fully clothed. It is shot with all of the skill and originality of its subject matter, and filmed in a single cramped location with Mary being the only character that is ever shown on screen. If the film wasn't unfortunate enough, the lead is hardly enticing on cam, and she frequently breaks character by looking into the film's camera rather than her own webcam. In fact, in some of the scenes that are shot from behind, it is completely apparent that her computer isn't even on. The suspense is destroyed by her spiritless performance and unfazed reactions to the shocking events. Expect to find CAM GIRL either in the dimly-lit room at the back of the video store or in a pile of used screeners being sold at the swap meet.
